2024 Masters: Phil Mickelson stats, earnings, history and full preview for Masters 2024

Jack McKessy
USA TODAY

At 53 years old, Phil Mickelson is returning to Augusta to play in the Masters tournament for the 31st time.

Mickelson, who won the tournament in 2004, 2006 and 2010, tied with Brooks Koepka for second in last year's Masters. The two were four strokes behind champion Jon Rahm, and Mickelson pulled into the runner-up spot after shooting a 65 – seven strokes under par – in the final round. It was the best final day the veteran golfer had ever played at Augusta.

Over the last few years, Mickelson has established he's still got what it takes to win, even at 53. In addition to his runner-up finish at the Masters last year, he won the PGA Championship by two strokes in 2021.
