Suzi Quatro is due to appear on the set of the ITV breakfast show and Kate Garraway and Adil Ray decided to welcome her with a playful jab.

On Friday (April 12, 2024), the Good Morning Britain presenters woke up bright and early to welcome their guest and Kate came up with the idea of making sure the rockstar would show up to discuss her upcoming November 2024 UK tour.

The iconic Can the Can singer recently announced she will be celebrating her 60th anniversary in the music industry with a five-date tour. Suzi, born Susan Kay Quatro, will perform in prestigious venues as the tour will open at the famous London Palladium on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

In an unexpected move, as she hosted the morning TV staple alongside Adil, the 56-year-old held up a large yellow alarm clock in front of the cameras as it was ringing loudly. "She'll probably curse me now", the presenter quipped, to which her co-host responded: "How is that going to work?"

Kate defended her idea saying: "Because she'll be listening!" and when Adil pointed out that Suzi would already be awake in such a case, she gave up on her plan, brutally throwing the alarm clock over her shoulder and leaving her co-star in hysterics. "I mean, you try your hardest, you make an effort!", she then ranted, before Adil's contagious laugh caught up with her.

TV fans will know Kate and Adil's harmless jab is a reference to the rock star's previous appearance in Good Morning Britain. The rock star threw the long-running program into chaos back in November, 2023, when she was unable to make her way to the London studio after failing to wake up on time.

At the time, the 73-year-old rock star was forced to film her interview from her lavish Essex home after her alarm clock had failed to go off in time for her appearance in the program. "It's so great to be here", she had then said, "I have to give you a congratulations because in my 59-year long career, this is the first time my alarm didn't go off."

Susanna Reid, who was presenting the show with the help of Ed Balls, had replied apologetically: "We are sorry, we should have sent you round a few alarms." A precaution Kate Garraway clearly took seriously, refusing to let history repeat itself.

Guests aren't the only ones that may need an early morning boost. Back in 2022, weather presenter and meteorologist Laura Tobin left her GMB colleagues giggling when she missed her own slot after a boozy night led her to forget to set her alarm and host Charlotte Hawkins was forced to step in for her segment.

Laura had attended the ultimate news quiz the night before, with the likes of fellow Good Morning Britain star Alison Hammond and Loose Women's Charlene White.
