MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is facing a charge after over 50 pounds of weed was found Sunday at the Memphis airport.
Kierra Carter, 21, has been charged with possession of controlled substance with intention to manufacture, deliver or sell. She is out of jail after posting $5,000 bond.
According to an affidavit, Carter's luggage was found open inside a United Airline bag cart on April 14, 2024. The bags had Carter's name tag on them.
Carter gave consent to a search of the luggage, and authorities found 56 pounds of marijuana, which tested positive. The woman was later charged.
