Beyoncé Instantly Doubles Her Total Number Of Hits On One Chart

Following

Beyoncé has officially entered her country era, as her new album Cowboy Carter and the songs featured on it are all over the Billboard charts this week. The superstar makes a major impact on several country-only rankings this frame, and even manages to double her total number of hits on one genre-specific tally.

On this week’s Country Airplay chart, Beyoncé earns a new win. Her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” launches at No. 56 on the ranking of the tunes that rack up the largest number of audience impressions across country radio stations in the U.S.

“Jolene” is only Beyoncé’s second song to land on the Country Airplay chart. Before 2024 began, she had never reached the list at all, but now she’s scored a pair of wins on the list.

Beyoncé collected her first hit on the Country Airplay chart less than two months ago. Her single “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which fronts Cowboy Carter, debuted on the tally in late February.

This week, “Texas Hold ‘Em” slides back on the Country Airplay chart, losing a little bit of ground. The single dips to No. 37 from No. 35. It peaked at No. 33, which is surprisingly low for a track that has already ruled the Hot 100.

Beyoncé’s “Jolene” is one of only two debuts on the radio ranking this week. She beats out the only other new entrant, “Life With You” by Kelsey Hart, by one space.

Amazingly, Beyoncé’s “Jolene” is already the most successful version of that title–at least when it comes to Billboard’s country radio chart. Parton’s original never placed on that tally, though that is likely due to the fact that her single was released many decades ago.
