District 10 All-Star selections: The Erie Times-News staff picked the 24 District 10 Girls Basketball All-Stars based on their performance from the entire season with special emphasis on the postseason and the coaches' all-region selections. The D-10 All-Stars will be invited to the Northwestern Pennsylvania High School Sports Awards show on June 24 at Erie’s Warner Theater. The Girls Basketball Player of the Year will be announced at the event.

  • Fields has been a dominant player for the Golden Eagles throughout her career. This winter she took aother step forward by scoring 20.6 points and pulling down 12 rebounds per game and had one of the biggest moments in program history as she scored in the final seconds to secure the PIAA Class 2A championship for the Golden Eagles.

  • Presser-Palmer went over 1,000 points as a sophomore and led District 10 in scoring with 24.7 points per game. She also averaged 11 rebounds, 3.6 steals, 3.1 assists and 1.3 blocks per game for the Wildcats. Presser-Palmer is on pace to become a rare 2,000-point scorer in Erie County history.

  • Kulyk averaged 17.9 points per game to lead the Lakers to a District 10 championship and a spot in the PIAA semifinals. The New Jersey Institute of Technology recruit finished as one of the all-time scorers in school history with more than 1,500 points. She had games of 20, 22, 24 and 13 points in the PIAA playoffs.

  • After a breakout freshman season, Magestro followed it up with a big sophomore year. She was a big part of running the Golden Eagles' offense and was second in scoring with 11.8 points per game. She also led the team with 5.7 assists per game and had 2.1 steals per game for the state champions.

  • Krarup is already over 1,000 career points and is the all-time leading scorer in Wilmington history. She averaged 19.3 points per game as a junior and she was third in District 10 with 71 3-pointers. Krarup overcame an injury early in the season to be one of the top scorers in D-10 for another season.

  • Stephens is another 1,000-point scorer who had a big high school career. She was voted as the Region 1 co-player of the year after averaging 20.9 points per game. She was the second-leading scorer in District 10 this season and was a top 15 free-throw shooter in all of D-10.

  • Vincent is one of the top 3-point shooters in District 10 and another weapon for Kennedy Catholic to use in big-time games. She scored 11.3 points per game and had 4.4 assists and 2.8 steals per game for the Golden Eagles. Vincent was second in District 10 this season with 77 3-pointers.

  • Marsteller has been a significant part of the Sailors' program throughout her career. Marsteller averaged 14.4 points per game as a senior despite an early-season injury. She helped the Sailors put together another winning season which resulted in another D-10 playoff appearance.

  • Steinberg had a solid freshman season and took another step this winter as one of the top scorers in District 10. She was one of four players to score more than 20 points per game as she was fourth in D-10 with 20.2 ppg. Steinberg is a key player for the next two years as the Knights look to put together a winning season.

  • Harvey put together a big season as a freshman. She averaged 10.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game. She came up big in the PIAA first round with 14 points against Fort Cherry, after scoring 18 points in the District 10 championship against Maplewood, and she added 11 points in the PIAA semifinals against Greensburg Central Catholic.

  • O'Hara was voted the top player in Region 2 after leading the Tigers to 21 wins this season. She averaged 12.2 points per game for Maplewood as the Tigers won the Region 2 championship. She also helped Maplewood reach the D-10 championship game.

Lily Palko

jr., 5-4, guard

  • Palko was one of the top all-around players in D-10 this winter. She averaged 16.9 points per game which was in the top 10 overall in D-10. Palko has been a key part of the Blue Devils turning things around as a program over the past few years and could be in for a big senior season.

  • McBride capped a big career for the Ramblers by scoring 13.6 points per game as a senior. The Georgetown recruit led Prep to Hershey this past winter and left an impact in the program as a 1,000-point scorer. She helped the Ramblers dominate D-10 competition and make several deep PIAA playoff wins.

  • Neavins had a big junior season leading the Royals to 18 wins, including the District 10 Class 6A championship. She averaged 11.7 points per game and took over games each time Erie High needed a big performance. Neavins could be in for a big senior year as Erie High looks to defend its D-10 title.

  • Przybylski was one of the top scorers in District 10 this season with 18.1 points per game. She also knocked down 60 3-pointers as one of the top outside shooters in District 10. Przybylski went over 1,000 career points late in her junior season and could challenge the Harbor Creek scoring record next year.

  • Biel is a force in the paint as she constantly collects rebounds and puts them back up for key buckets for the Ramblers. She has improved each season and was one of the top players in D-10 this winter with 15.6 points per game. Biel is getting all kinds of attention from colleges and has one more year to impress at Prep.

  • Heidt was another top forward this past winter as she was a rebounding machine for the Tigers. She averaged 12 points per game and dominated in the paint for Fairview. She played a big role in the Tigers winning the District 10 Class 4A championship and making a deep run in the PIAA playoffs.

  • With McDowell losing standout guard Caylen Spano to injury, the Trojans needed someone to step up this winter. Nelson filled that gap and led McDowell with 11.2 points per game. Nelson controlled the paint for the Trojans and was a tough rebounder as well this season.

  • Walz emerged as one of the top outside shooters in D-10 over the past few years. She scored 11.4 points per game this season and knocked down 42 3-pointers. Walz is a St. Bonaventure recruit and was a big part of the Ramblers reaching Hershey this winter because of her shooting and defense.

  • Garrity took over for her older sister, Hope, who graduated last year. Paige Garrity had a breakout freshman season with 13 points per game. She didn't need any adjustment period to varsity basketball as she scored 22 points in her first varsity game. Garrity already has two Division II offers and led D-10 with 82 3-pointers.

  • Harrington is a multisport standout for the Eagles. She had a big junior season and was voted the Region 5 player of the year. Harrington led Conneaut with 17.2 points per game which ranked eighth overall in D-10. Harrington has helped the Eagles become a consistent team when it comes to winning seasons and playoff appearances.

  • Valone was one of the top defenders in District 10 over the past few years. She sacrificed offense to make sure she could contain the top scorer for each opponent. Valone also hit clutch shots when needed for the Ramblers as she had 29 3-pointers as a senior.

  • Ruhlman led the Dragons with 10 points per game this winter as Warren won another region title and finished with 21 wins. Ruhlman is a D'Youville recruit and has helped the Dragons go on a run of several winning seasons in the past few years.

  • Opp led the Lancers with 16 points per game. Despite the Lancers struggling in a loaded region, Opp is a talented scorer and defender. She also is one of the top outside shooters in District 10 as she finished this past season fourth in D-10 with 62 3-pointers.
