IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Learning Tim Lester’s new offense is Deacon Hill’s main focus during spring drills.

“We have new footwork,” Hill said, “once you get your footwork down, everything else kind of slows down.”

Hill has plenty of experience learning new offenses. Hill transferred to Iowa from Wisconsin before last season.

“Sophomore year coach Ingram came and we added new stuff, I am going to count that as a new (offense). Got here last spring and learned Brian (Ferentz’s) new offense,” Hill said. “Now this spring learning Lester’s offense. So you can say I have a little experience learning new offenses.”

Iowa will show off their offense in an open practice on April 20th.
