Andersson Garcia's epic buzzer-beater sends Texas A&M vs Houston to OT in March Madness

Houston thought it had the game won.

But this is March Madness, and Texas A&M had other ideas. Despite trailing by double digits in the final three minutes of Sunday's NCAA Tournament second-round game, the Aggies clawed their way back into the game and set themselves up with a chance to tie the game at the end of regulation.

With 1.2 seconds left, Andersson Garcia delivered. He got the ball off a pass from Tyrece Radford on what looked like a broken play and put up a 3-point shot at the end of regulation that swished through the net as he fell backward and the buzzer sounded.

It tied the game at 86 and sent it to overtime as Aggies fans throughout FedExForum went crazy.

Garcia's shot wasn't enough, though. Despite having four players foul out, Houston took back control in the overtime period and pulled out the 100-95 win.

The top-seeded Cougars advanced to face No. 4 Duke in the Sweet 16 South Regional on Friday at American Airlines Arena in Dallas. Game time is scheduled for approximately 9:15 p.m. CT, preceded by NC State vs. Marquette at 6:09 p.m. CT. Both games will be on CBS.
