In regards to the article about the spay and neutering program at the Daviess County animal shelter, first, I am a taxpayer and to limit access to that program to only those on financial aid is ridiculous. I will remember this come the next election. We have a lot of stray cats in my area; I used the Daviess County Animal shelter because I was quoted a four-figure price to have a cat spayed. So now I have to drive these animals to Hartford since they have the only affordable clinic on a weekly basis. Thanks to our fiscal court for looking out for the over-priced business and screwing the average taxpayer.
