There is a chance for a few strong storms in north Alabama on both Wednesday and Thursday.
That’s according to NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center, which has added a Level 1 out of 5 severe weather risk for that region on both days.
There is no risk for severe weather for central or south Alabama.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville said there was low chance for severe weather, but if any storms did become strong they could bring damaging winds of 40-50 mph and small hail.
The timeframe for possible storms on Wednesday, according to the weather service, is from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
For Thursday storms could be possible from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Forecasters said that as of Tuesday morning that the better chance for storms appears to be on Thursday, but then reaffirmed that there is low confidence of severe weather.

The weather service expects a weakening weather system to bring increased chances for rain and storms on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Rain chances will be highest, but still not a sure thing, for north Alabama both days. No rain is expected for the southern part of the state.
