It's officially transfer portal season in the college wrestling world.

The Iowa wrestling program is not immune to that, having brought in and lost recruits to the portal over time. Guys like Real Woods, Michael Caliendo and Brody Teske made big impacts this year in the lineup as former transfers, while Iowa has also suffered losses to the portal as well.

We're tracking all the movement here in our transfer portal tracker where you can follow along with all the additions and subtractions that happen for the Hawkeyes.

Departures

Joel Jesuroga

Iowa's Joel Jesuroga, left, lifts Bellarmine's Zac Cowan at Xtream Arena in the NCAA Soldier Salute tournament on Friday, Dec. 28, 2023, in Coralville.

Jesuroga, a former state champion with Southeast Polk and a Fargo All-American, was 20-6 all-time for the Hawkeyes following his redshirt freshman campaign. He'll have three years of eligibility remaining at the University of California Poly.

Twins Carson and Carter Martinson have also entered the transfer portal, their father told the Register. The two were key cogs of Southeast Polk's title runs in high school. Both of which being three-time medalists at the state wrestling tournament. Carson (4-3) and Carter (11-6) both saw limited time in competition during two seasons at the college level.

They'll both have three years of eligibility remaining.

Bretli Reyna

Iowa's Bretli Reyna wrestles during a NCAA Hawkeyes men's wrestling intrasquad match, Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex in Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.

Reyna was a big recruit when he made his way to Iowa City as a Super 32 champion and four-time Florida state champion, but never was able to crack the lineup consistently with the Hawkeyes. A redshirt junior, Reyna did not appear in any competition for Iowa this season and finished with a 6-5 record (0-3 attached).

Arrivals

As of now, Iowa has not had any official additions via the transfer portal. However, coach Tom Brands has not been shy about using the portal before, so stay locked here for potential developments.
