Sheriff: 2 charged after shooting in Adams County leaves 2 people dead, 1 injured
Two people have been charged after a shooting in Adams County left two people dead on Thursday.
The double homicide happened near Sixth Street in Manchester, Ohio, on Thursday.
In an update Friday, the Adams County Sheriff's Office identified one of the victims as James Shoemaker. The sheriff's office is still working to identify the second victim, only identifying her as an adult female.
A third person shot was taken to the hospital, and they're in stable condition, the sheriff's office said.
Two people have been charged in connection with the shooting.
David Johnson has been charged with two counts of murder. Tabitha Johnson has been charged with tampering with evidence and obstructing justice.
They are both being held at the Clinton County Jail and will be transferred to Adams County Jail at a later date.
According to BCI, the Adams County sheriff requested investigators from the BCI Crime Scene Unit and Special Investigations Unit to investigate the double homicide.
At this time, it is not known what led up to the incident. The sheriff's office said a third victim is in serious condition.
