LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A man is dead on Friday morning after being stabbed by an unknown suspect in an alleyway near the Strat on the Las Vegas Strip.

An employee from a Circle K in the 2300 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard reported to Las Vegas police that a person was stabbed outside the business around 2:02 a.m.

Arriving officers located a man believed to be in his 30s suffering from a stab wound and transported him to UMC, where he would later die. Police believe two suspects were involved, who were both gone before police arrived at the scene.

Homicide detectives with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department determined that the victim was at the store, got into a car, and drove off the property. He then parked against a sidewalk, got out of his car, and entered an alleyway near the store, where he got into an altercation with two suspects.

No information was immediately available about the suspects, though the investigation is still ongoing.

Police have determined that there is no immediate danger to the public at large. Currently, Las Vegas Boulevard remains open, though Circle K and Cleveland Avenue will remain shut down.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
