Last day with temperatures in the 80s before a stretch in the 90s

AND JUST REALLY THE WARM WEATHER THAT SEEMS TO BE ON THE WAY. OH, WE WERE TALKING STRAIGHT SUMMER HEAT. OUR TEMPERATURES TOMORROW START IN THE UPPER 80S MOSTLY THOUGH LOW 90 UPPER 80S HERE THOUGH TODAY IN CENTRAL FLORIDA. SO WE’RE TALKING ABOUT FOUR DEGREES ABOVE OUR AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURES. AND FROM THERE ALMOST TEN DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE. WE’LL TALK ABOUT THAT. BUT LET’S AT LEAST TALK ABOUT TODAY’S FORECAST TO START. 88 IS WHERE WE’LL BE AT IN ORLANDO FOR AREAS EAST OF ORLANDO. THAT ARE KIND OF SANDWICHED IN BETWEEN ORLANDO AND I-95 WILL BE IN THE MIDDLE 80S, AND THEN OUR COASTAL LOCATIONS ALONG I-95 WILL REACH THE LOW 80S. BUT FOR MANY TODAY, THIS IS GOING TO BE CONSIDERED UNSEASONABLY HOT. BUT HEY, THIS MORNING IT’S OFF TO A NICE START. WE’RE AT 65 DEGREES IN ORLANDO, 66 IN CLERMONT IT IS 67 DEGREES IN LEESBURG, 64 IN OCALA, A LITTLE BIT COOLER OUT IN PALM COAST AT 57 DEGREES. AND WE ARE AT 72 IN MELBOURNE. SO AS YOU GET THE KIDS READY FOR SCHOOL, DO KNOW IT IS A COMFORTABLE START TO OUR MORNING WITH CLEAR CONDITIONS. WHEN YOU PICK THE KIDS UP, IT’S GOING TO GET HOT WITH OUR TEMPERATURES REACHING MANY LOCATIONS IN THE 80S AND WITH HIGH PRESSURE IN PLACE WHILE PLENTY OF SUNSHINE AS WELL, WE HAVE TWO AREAS OF HIGH PRESSURE. WE HAVE THE SURFACE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE JUST OFF OF OUR EAST COAST, AND THEN WE HAVE AN UPPER LEVEL AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE OUT IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. THOSE TWO COMBINED WILL GIVE US PLENTY OF SUNSHINE GOING INTO THE AFTERNOON AND DRY CONDITIONS AS WELL. AND WITH THAT, AGAIN, WE’RE GOING TO HEAT UP. SO WE’RE TALKING 88 DEGREES IN ORLANDO, POTENTIALLY NEARING 90 DEGREES IN THE VILLAGES, WILDWOOD, WINTER HAVEN, 86 THIS AFTERNOON IN DELAND, BITHLO AND SAINT CLOUD. AND THEN LOWER 80S FOR I-95 WITH AN EASTERLY WIND PICKING UP AROUND 10 TO 15MPH. HERE’S THAT UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE. THIS IS GOING TO BE OUR KEY IN THE FORECAST IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS, AS THAT STRENGTH WINS, WE’RE GOING TO STAY DRY AND HOT. IT’S GOING TO KEEP A SERIES OF COLD FRONTS OUT OF CENTRAL FLORIDA AND REALLY OUT OF THE STATE. SO STATEWIDE WE’RE LOOKING AT HOT CONDITIONS AND THAT STARTS TO TOMORROW WHERE TEMPERATURES REACH THE LOW 90S INLAND COASTAL LOCATIONS EXPECTED TO TOP OUT IN THE MIDDLE 80S. NO RECORDS FOR ORLANDO OR SANFORD TOMORROW, BUT LEESBURG, YOU’RE SET TO TIE A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 90 DEGREES FROM 1990. COASTAL LOCATIONS, BECAUSE OF A WEAK SEA BREEZE DEVELOPING, WILL NOT BE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO THE RECORD HIGHS. THEN, FROM THERE, WE’RE HOTTER. SATURDAY, SUNDAY, TEMPERATURES REACHING THE MIDDLE 90S AND ISOLATED SHOWER POSSIBLE SUNDAY.

High pressure is the big feature today and this week. Clear conditions are greeting us out the door, and temperatures are in the 50s & 60s. Sunshine will once again dominate this afternoon. That plus our strengthening ridge of high pressure will lead to a hot afternoon. Temperatures today reach the middle and upper 80s inland. Coastal locations will reach the lower 80s.Tomorrow will start the stretch of highs in the 90s. Lower 90s are on tap tomorrow and Friday. Middle 90s are set for Saturday and Sunday. A few isolated showers are possible Sunday, otherwise now through the weekend will be dry.The next front will try to move in Monday. This will bring in a 30% coverage of rain. However, despite this being a “cool” front, it will not cool us down much. Highs on Tuesday will drop into the upper 80s.
