AUSTIN (KXAN) — Storm chances ramp up midweek and stay with us through the end of the weekend.

Today will be one of the drier days of the next 7 with only a few spots of sprinkles/drizzle this morning and a low chance for an isolated storm this afternoon. The majority of us are expected to stay dry under a mainly cloudy to partly sunny sky. Warm and humid conditions continue.

Wednesday will feature a few distinct periods of rain chances. The first comes in the form of a few spots of drizzle/sprinkles early morning. The second will follow in the mid- to late afternoon with spotty showers and isolated storms. And the third round will be a cluster of storms firing to our west, congealing together and clipping our area overnight.

There is both a risk of isolated strong to severe storms and localized flooding late Wednesday into early Thursday.

Low risk of strong to severe storms late Wednesday into early Thursday
Low risk of localized flooding late Wednesday into Thursday

Spotty to scattered storms are possible each day through the end of the week and weekend. It will not rain every hour of every day, but the opportunity will be there for pop up afternoon storms and clusters of storms pushing in from the west/northwest overnight.
