New changes happening to the SAT this spring
New changes are happening as high school juniors and seniors take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) this spring.
For the first time in almost a hundred years, students will take the test online.
In the past, students took the test using paper and pencil, which consisted of over a hundred questions and took approximately three hours.

The new digital version of the test is one hour shorter, has fewer wordy questions, and allows students to use calculators for every math problem.
The College Board has eliminated content that students did not find useful or enjoyable, according to prep experts.
For instance, they removed obscure vocabulary words that students would never use in their lives again. Instead, they added more question types that test real-world skills that students will need in their future college and careers.
