MI vs CSK IPL 2024

The world-famous Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host the IPL 2024 mega match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday. Both teams have won five titles each in the tournament’s history.

Mumbai, who lost three games in a row, bounced back in the previous two encounters. The track at the Wankhede is good for batters, and the current season has seen big scores. The track makes stroke-making easy. Even the small size of the boundaries allows the batters to hit fours and sixes.

Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah has predicted a high-scoring game between MI and CSK, according to Rajasthan Royals spinner R Ashwin.

“I talked to Jasprit Bumrah, and he said that it is going to be a bloodbath here. The MI team chased down 250 or more in the practice games they played here. Chasing 250 over here is normal. They scored 230 plus against Delhi Capitals, so this has to be kept in mind,” Ashwin said.

“The ball swings here in the first three overs, so bowling is a bit easier. If a team scores 20/0 in 3 overs, the batters can hammer bowlers in the next three overs of the powerplay. It can be a bloodbath,” Ashwin added.

“The swing stops after a while, and the batters can go for shots. MI will use Bumrah like a defensive weapon after this,” he concluded.

CSK, the defending champions, have won three games at home but lost both their away contests.
