Any mum will know that they will do whatever it takes to make their labour easier - and for one mum, it was looking glam.

The last thing many women will be thinking about during the hours of labour is putting makeup on, but mum Harmony claimed it made it easier for her.

She took to TikTok to show off her makeup skills while laying in the hospital bed between each contraction, moments away from giving birth. The glam mum looked amazing while she squeezed her partner's hand, applied her makeup to her face and called it the "best distraction".

While bouncing on a pregnancy ball and controlling her breathing between contractions, her partner stood being her helping her through the pain. Despite looking flawless, Harmony received a wave of criticism for her labour activity. She clapped back at the cruel comments and said: "Imagine talking sh*t to a woman for wearing makeup during labour but it's how she got through it unmedicated."

However, in response, one TikToker said: "This is another level of insecurity if you need makeup during labour," while another asked: "Why would you wear makeup?" But Harmony simply said these comments were "rude" and said these people weren't "raised right".

"Some people just wear makeup genuinely because they love the artistic aspect of makeup, which is me. I'm not wearing any makeup right now, and I feel great, I don't need makeup to feel beautiful," Harmony explained on her TikTok page under the name @harmssssssss.

Her clip went viral on TikTok with over 6 million views, and although she had many negative comments, positivity was abundant from others. One fan wrote: "Can't do epidural cause you'd be weak, can't do unmedicated cause then I'm better than everyone. Make it make sense people. Be kind or move on."

While another added: "Doing my makeup during labour was exciting. I was getting ready for the biggest moment of my life," and a third said: "I applied makeup to my sister while she was in labour plus it made her more confident in taking pictures.

Another simply wrote: "Makeup therapy/distraction is unmatched."
