Man Making Major Hair Change Days Before Family Vacation Shocks Wife

There's nothing like an upcoming vacation to inspire a bit of personal maintenance. But one woman is saying this sabotaged the upcoming holiday photos.

A viral video posted by @annalenasophiew revealed her husband in an airport with their children donning a new bleached hairstyle, which she was not happy about. The video shows the back of her husband's head as he moves through the airport, seemingly unaware that she is filming. Since it was posted, it has received 1.3 million views, and plenty of comments dissenting from the original poster's opinion.

"When your husband decided five days before your dream vacation to dye his hair and ruin all the upcoming family pictures," she captioned the video. In another video, she revealed the family had travelled to the Maldives.

The user's previous videos reveal her husband to have medium brown hair, making the move to bleach blonde quite a drastic change she claimed was a photo-ruiner.

Viewers in the comments were quick to deny this, though, saying her husband's hair looked good—"majestic," even—and that she shouldn't be focused on appearances over the quality of her holiday. But others empathized, offering hilarious stories of their own hair-gone-wrong.

"I did this," @lorneshmorne wrote. "Bleached my hair and it turned out an awful yellow colour. Didn't have time to fix it before [holiday] with my partner's family. Turns out they'd booked a professional photoshoot."

"Guys, why are the pictures so important and not the moment, the place, the people you are with?" @simona..munteanu wrote. "Do you feel good if he feels the same when you are changing your haircut?"

"I don't think your grandkids will look back at him and say 'Ew his hair is so bad why would he do that'...He looks great," @ari.pee wrote.

The original poster responded to feedback saying the video was just a joke and asking commenters not to take her comment seriously. When people accused her of caring about the aesthetics instead of the actual holiday, she responded saying that she and her family had taken a 10-hour flight with two young children for this "dream vacation"—implying that she cared about the holiday enough to make such a big effort.

And it seemed the vacation turned out well after all, though the original poster's husband didn't make an appearance in the next several videos about the trip.

"My vision board came true," she captioned another video.
