SCOTT COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL)- Two people died in a rollover crash on Interstate 80 just west of Walcott in Scott County on Saturday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol said a 1999 Lexus was heading West on I-80 near the 281-mile marker when the driver lost control for an unknown reason.
The car rolled over multiple times and ended up flipped on its top in the ditch on the north side of the roadway.
The man sitting in the front passenger seat of the car was ejected from the car. Both the man and the female driver died at the scene.
The Iowa State Patrol did not release the names of the two people killed on Saturday evening as Troopers are still working to notify their family members.
In addition to the Iowa State Patrol, the Scott County Sheriff's Officer, the Scott County Medical Examiner, Walcott Fire Department and Ambulance and Durant Fire Department also responded to the crash.
