Former President Donald Trump went on an angry rant outside of a courthouse in Manhattan on Tuesday, and CNN host Kate Bolduan wasted no time correcting some false claims that he made.

While appearing outside the courthouse, Trump rehashed many false claims about the trial, including the idea that legal scholars were unanimous in declaring it a sham trial and that it was all a plot by President Joe Biden to derail his 2024 presidential bid.

"And that is on Donald Trump," she said as Trump walked away from the cameras. "And there's some stuff to fact check with our reporters, so let's do it right away."

She then turned to Kristen Holmes, who took apart Trump's claim that Biden was behind Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's decision to indict him for falsifying business records to cover up hush-money payments to an adult film star.

"Remember, we're in court in New York right now," she said. "This isn't even one of the Department of Justice cases where there is some link to the Biden administration, as the Department of Justice falls under the administration... This has nothing to do with President Joe Biden, but as we have heard, time and time again, Donald Trump has really tried to take control of the narrative to make this about politics, to make this about 'election interference.'"

Holmes emphasized that while Trump has had luck in convincing his own base of this narratives, "when it comes to the actual facts of this, that is incorrect."

Holmes also noted that Trump avoided attacking any of the witnesses in his latest statement just one day after prosecutors alleged that he violated a gag order barring him from attacking them.
