SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A former San Diego restaurant owner was arrested Monday on suspicion of sexually assaulting two people at the downtown lounge, police said.

San Diego police say on May 27, two people were assaulted at Chef’s SD in the 500 block of F Street. The victims were inside the restaurant’s lounge at the time of the assaults, police said.

Days later, on May 30, the victims reported the assaults to police, authorities said. During the Sex Crimes Unit’s investigation, police say the victims identified the alleged suspect as Geoffrey Enrico Cole, 41. Cole is the former owner of the restaurant, which has since closed.

Police arrested Cole on Monday in the 1000 block of 5th Avenue and booked him into San Diego County Jail. He faces felony and misdemeanor sexual assault charges.

Police believe there may be more victims in the case. Anyone with information was asked to call SDPD Sex Crimes Unit at 619-531-2210. Callers can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.

Cole is scheduled to be arraigned Monday at San Diego Superior Court.
