LeBron James crowned Victor Wembanyama with an amazing nickname when he said that he was more like an alien than a unicorn.
The nickname has stuck for the San Antonio Spurs star rookie, who has a sneaker deal with Nike. Although he does not yet have a signature shoe, the brand is expected to release them in May.
On the day of the 2024 solar eclipse, Nike Basketball teased a video that may have featured Wemby’s new logo. Assuming that is what they are referencing, this thing is intergalactic and otherworldly and awesome.
It is also perfectly fitting for Wembanyama, who deserves a logo as special as he is on the court.

Wembanyama first wore the GT Hustle 2 “Alien” while playing in the Rising Stars Game during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend. The backs featured an alien that the big man illustrated.
The sensational rookie considered himself an artist on and enjoys drawing, he has said.
Assuming that this is indeed a teaser for Wemby’s Nike logo, it’s fantastic.
