ROUND THIS THURSDAY IN OMAHA, AND THE DRAKE WOMEN HAVE PUNCHED THEIR TICKET TO THE TOURNAMENT, AND IT ALL CAME DOWN TO AN INCREDIBLE BUZZER BEATER. WATCH THIS. LOOK AT THAT CELEBRATION. THAT WAS ANNA BO MAKING THE GAME WINNING SHOT YESTERDAY IN MOLINE. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW THE DRAKE WOMEN ARE MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS. BO LOOKS STUNNED IN THAT VIDEO. AND 24 HOURS LATER, SHE SAYS SHE IS STILL DIGESTING IT. I THINK STILL, I’M A LITTLE STUNNED. I MEAN, THAT WAS LIKE A REALLY COOL MOMENT AND I’M VERY, VERY GRATEFUL THAT THE SHOT WENT IN. This year's Drake women have played some of the best basketball in program history. The Bulldogs won the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles, and enter the NCAA Tournament with a 29-5 record overall. No. 12 seed Drake will play No. 5 seed Colorado on Friday in Manhattan, Kansas. West Des Moines native Katie Dinnebier was named MVC player of the year after leading the Bulldogs in points per game (17.9), assists (6.9) and steals (2.4). Two other players average double-digit scoring — forwards Grace Berg (17) and Anna Miller (13.6).Miller leads in rebounds (10.1) and blocks (2.6).
