Social media reacts to Purdue's Final Four win over NC State

Purdue beat North Carolina State, 63-50, in the national semifinal Saturday afternoon at State Farm Stadium.

The No. 1 seed Boilermakers are heading to their first national championship game since 1969, when they lost to UCLA. They have never won an NCAA Tournament title and will aim to do so just one year after losing to a No. 16 seed, Fairleigh Dickinson, in the first round.

For the No. 11 seed Wolfpack, it was a disappointing end to a remarkable month-long run. They claimed an automatic bid to the tournament by winning the ACC Tournament with five wins in as many days. They then rolled through the South region, upsetting No. 4 seed Duke in the Elite Eight. Their run, though, fell two games short of the school’s first title since 1983.

On X, fans and media from both sides reacted to the predictable result.
