5 picks to finish Top 10 at the 2024 Masters, including Xander Schauffele

Everybody wants to win The Masters, but only one person will. And let’s be real with ourselves, unless the favorite comes out on top, most of us are going to be wrong on our bets for who that person will be.

To minimize the risk on some of our favorites at Augusta, here’s a look at a few players worth a sprinkle to finish in the top 10. Because though they can realistically push for the top of the leaderboard, they may not necessarily walk away a winner.

1. Jon Rahm (+120)

I’d say the reigning Masters champ is a good bet to finish in the top 10 this year. Especially considering he’s been top 10 in four of his last five trips to Augusta.

2. Xander Schaffaule (+140)

Aside from six top-10 finishes this year on the PGA Tour, Schaffaule is a good bet because he was top-10 in this tournament last year.

3. Hideki Matsuyama (+160)

Matsuyama hasn’t placed top 10 in the Masters since 2021(though he’s a regular in the top 20). But finishing first, 12th, sixth and seventh in his last four events sets him up well for a good weekend.

4. Joaquin Niemann (+225)

Niemann cracked the Masters top 20 for the first time in 2023, and I think he has a shot to crack the top 10 for the first time with the way he’s been swinging the club lately.

5. Matt Fitzpatrick (+275)

Fitzpatrick tied for 10th at last year’s Masters, and his up-and-down 2024 seems to be steadying at the right time after his switch to a lighter driver.
