(NEXSTAR) – About two months from now, the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials will kick off in Indiana. As many as 52 athletes will represent the U.S. in the pool at the Paris Olympic Games. 24-year-old Bobby Finke hopes to be one of them.

“Deep down I’m always nervous, but you know like now I’m just relaxed. I’ve got support system around me, helping me,” Finke said. “I’m thinking about it, it’s in there, it’s in my head, I know it’s there, but the reality is there’s nothing I can do about it so, I’m just sitting here relaxing.”

Finke, who is from Clearwater, Florida took home two golds in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, one for the 800-meter freestyle and the other in the 1500-meter freestyle.

Finke also set an American record in the 800-meter freestyle in Tokyo.
