Paley Center, YES App collaborating on Yankees ‘The Story of My Number’ debut

The Paley Center for Media and YES Network are partnering on an event to celebrate a new YES App series about Yankees greats.

The Paley Museum will host “The Story of My Number: An Evening with New York Yankees Legends” on Monday, May 6 to commemorate the series premiere, an episode dedicated to Aaron Boone, the Yankees manager who famously hit a walk-off home run to slay the Red Sox in Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS.

Hosted by Gracie Cashman, the series, “The Story of My Number,” will debut on the YES App on May 9.

The May 6 Paley Center event will feature a panel moderated by Yankees play-by-play broadcaster Michael Kay and will include Boone, Tino Martinez, Nick Swisher and Cashman.

“The New York Yankees are an integral part of the fabric of New York sports and of the city itself,” Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center for Media’s President and CEO, said in a statement.

“We are honored and thrilled to present this look at some of the most beloved players behind professional baseball’s most storied franchise, and we look forward to what is certain to be a grand slam conversation.”

Sponsored by the New York lottery, subsequent series episodes will debut on the YES App on Thursdays. They will cover Martinez, Swisher, Don Mattingly, Andy Pettitte and CC Sabathia.
