Police: Man accused of secretly photographing woman in Fairfield Township Walmart
A Fairfield man faces voyeurism and public indecency charges after police said he was caught secretly photographing women inside the Fairfield Township Walmart.
Miguel Hernandez, 27, was arrested Wednesday evening.
According to court documents, Hernandez was walking around the store "filming or photographing unsuspecting women inside."
A security officer said he "observed the defendant following women while he had his phone out, zipper on his pants down."
"It makes me sick to my stomach to think that my daughter or fiancée or anybody could be watching them at any time, and you don't even know," said Dave Allen, a Walmart customer.
On at least one occasion, records state Hernandez used his cellphone to take a picture under "an unsuspecting female's skirt."
Police said Hernandez wasn't the only one with a camera. Walmart has signs posted that read "camera in use," and police said Hernandez was caught on surveillance cameras committing the crimes.
"That's disgusting. You can't go anywhere these days," said customer Lisa Rhoads.
News of this arrest has customers reminding themselves to never let their guard down.
"Pay attention, look around. If you're paying attention, you'll see someone creeping around you," Rhoads said.
Hernandez's bond was set at $3,500.
