LEADING THE WAY ONLY ON WLWT. ANOTHER DISTURBING CASE OF WOMEN BEING SECRETLY RECORDED INSIDE A LOCAL WALMART. THANKS FOR JOINING US AT TEN. I’M CHRIS JACOBS, THE SUSPECT NOW UNDER ARREST AND IN THE BUTLER COUNTY JAIL. TONIGHT, WLWT NEWS FIVE’S KAREN JOHNSON HAS THE STORY FROM FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP. THAT’S SICK. APPALLING. SHOPPERS SAY THAT’S DISGUSTING AND NAUSEATING TO OTHER CUSTOMERS. I THINK IT’S DISTURBING TONIGHT, 27 YEAR OLD MIGUEL HERNANDEZ IS IN THE BUTLER COUNTY JAIL CHARGED WITH PUBLIC INDECENCY AND VOYEURISM, ACCORDING TO COURT DOCUMENTS, THE FAIRFIELD MAN WAS WALKING AROUND THE FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP WALMART WEDNESDAY EVENING FILMING OR PHOTOGRAPHING UNSUSPECTING WOMEN INSIDE. A SECURITY OFFICER SAID HE OBSERVED THE DEFENDANT FOLLOWING WOMEN WHILE HE HAD HIS PHONE OUT, ZIPPER ON HIS PANTS DOWN. IT MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH, YOU KNOW, TO THINK THAT MY DAUGHTER, MY MY FIANCE, ANYBODY COULD BE, YOU KNOW, WATCHING THEM AT ANY TIME ON AT LEAST ONE OCCASION, RECORDS STATE HERNANDEZ USED HIS CELL PHONE TO TAKE A PICTURE UNDER AN UNSUSPECTING FEMALE’S SKIRT. POLICE SAY HERNANDEZ WASN’T THE ONLY ONE WITH A CAMERA. WALMART WARNS CAMERAS IN USE AND POLICE SAY HERNANDEZ WAS CAUGHT ON SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS COMMITTING THE CRIMES. I JUST PRAY FOR THIS WORLD TO BE BETTER BECAUSE IT’S KIND OF SCARY AND IT JUST SEEMS LIKE THINGS KEEP HAPPENING LIKE THIS OFTEN, AND IF WE COULD JUST DO BETTER. NEWS OF THIS ARREST HAS CUSTOMERS REMINDING THEMSELVES TO NEVER LET THEIR GUARD DOWN. PAY ATTENTION. LOOK AROUND IF SOMEBODY IS. IF YOU’RE PAYING ATTENTION, YOU’LL SEE SOMEONE CREEPING AROUND YOU. A Fairfield man faces voyeurism and public indecency charges after police said he was caught secretly photographing women inside the Fairfield Township Walmart. Miguel Hernandez, 27, was arrested Wednesday evening.According to court documents, Hernandez was walking around the store "filming or photographing unsuspecting women inside."A security officer said he "observed the defendant following women while he had his phone out, zipper on his pants down.""It makes me sick to my stomach to think that my daughter or fiancée or anybody could be watching them at any time, and you don't even know," said Dave Allen, a Walmart customer. On at least one occasion, records state Hernandez used his cellphone to take a picture under "an unsuspecting female's skirt."Police said Hernandez wasn't the only one with a camera. Walmart has signs posted that read "camera in use," and police said Hernandez was caught on surveillance cameras committing the crimes."That's disgusting. You can't go anywhere these days," said customer Lisa Rhoads. News of this arrest has customers reminding themselves to never let their guard down."Pay attention, look around. If you're paying attention, you'll see someone creeping around you," Rhoads said. Hernandez's bond was set at $3,500.
