(Gray News) - A 4-year-old boy reportedly died days after a house fire that also killed his father.

Emergency crews responded to reports of the fire early Sunday morning, according to Daily Mail UK.

Ethan Mason was pulled from the building after his ‘dad ran back inside to save his little boy’, his family said on a GoFundMe page.

The family said 45-year-old father Barry Mason died from his injuries.

Following the house fire, Ethan reportedly suffered at least 70% burns to his body and he was placed into a medically induced coma.

According to the family, the 4-year-old had only a 10% chance of living but was optimistic that he would pull through following multiple surgeries.

Sadly, Greater Manchester Police shared that Ethan died from his injuries in the hospital.

Officers don’t believe that there are any suspicious circumstances involved.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue are continuing to investigate the causes of the fire and are working with police.
