Route 170 closed in Wayne County, detour in place

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Monday that a major road in Wayne County is closed.

According to PennDOT, Route 170 between Burns Road and Townhill Road in Clinton Township, Wayne County is closed due to a bridge replacement project.

DCNR accepting ATV permit applications for season riding

PennDOT says a local detour is in place and the estimated date of reopening is summer 2025.

When encountering a work zone, PennDOT urges travelers to slow down, drive the posted speed limit, turn on their headlights, and avoid distractions.

Drivers can check up-to-date conditions on major roadways by visiting 511PA online or calling 511.

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission said on Monday that it is fining the four U.S. major wireless carriers around $200 million in total for “illegally” sharing and selling customers’ real-time location data without their consent.
