Lake County Sheriff investigating after deputies say man strangled and killed his girlfriend

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Law enforcement officials are investigating after a Concord Township woman allegedly was killed by her boyfriend Friday night.

Lake County Sheriff’s officers responded to a call at about 7 p.m. Friday at a home on Lochness Drive in Concord Township. Deputies at the scene found a 54-year-old Concord Township man in the garage, bleeding excessively from apparent self-inflicted wounds.

Inside the home, officers also found the body of a 47-year-old woman. In a press release, the sheriff’s office said the woman had been strangled or suffocated by the man.

Deputies said the man and women were in a relationship and lived together at the home.

The identities of the man and woman have not been released. Police said the man was transported to Tri-Point Medical Center.

The incident is being investigated by the Lake County Sheriff’s office.
