Burton High School was briefly under a “lockout” command on Tuesday morning after a suspicious individual was spotted outside the main campus near Main Street, according to information in a district press release sent Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 7:10 a.m. when the unknown individual described only by his male gender was seen loitering outside the campus. Burton ISD school resource officers immediately responded to the individual’s location and began questioning the man to determine his identity and reason for being on the campus.
