Martin Lewis has announced he won't be back with his ITV The Martin Lewis Money Show until OCTOBER. Martin has warned millions of his viewers he'll now be off-air until October as he steps back from the live programme, which aired on Tuesday from 8pm.

Mr Lewis wrote on Twitter/X today: "Thanks to all 2.6 million who watched last night's @itvMlshow . We easily won the slot (most watched on at that time) with a 19% share of all audience. I'm very grateful you stick with us & hope it helps improve your financial life.

"These, huge numbers are proof consumer journalism has a place in prime time. We're not due to be back until Oct (hopefully), though I hope to ask ITV about getting a special or two before then, so I can try and keep you up to date on what's happening - as that feels too long a gap.

"Huge thanks to @JNETTEKWAKYE for a great first run, thanks to Clare Miller my series producer who is the heart of the show, and to all the brilliant production team, crew, security staff and more." A social media user replied: "Perhaps an episode that includes a ‘student’s special’ in the late summer/early autumn would be great for new students (& potentially for returning students too) as well as including the important messages for their families?"

A second said: "The country thanks you Martin. You’re actually making a positive difference to people in times of extraordinary austerity." Roga said: "The series link on virgin and plex failed to pick this up. So I missed it. Will search itvx, but prob needs checking it got on the feeds, as you would of bad at least one, if not thousands more."

Another said: "I've taken your advice @MartinSLewis on changing my broadband provider as currently paying £38 for full fibre 100 and tried to haggle but was a straight no so shopped around and got a slower speed for £18 month with another provider. Thank you. Anthony"
