Totality of the heart: Dozens of couples participate in mass wedding ceremony during eclipse
Some couples made Monday's extraordinary event even more special, as they said "I do," to spending the totality of their lives together as the eclipse reaches totality.
Trenton's Mayor Ryan Perry officiated the weddings.
Couple's said their "I do's" and then put on their glasses and got to experience the once-in-a-lifetime event.
That was followed by a first dance, not total eclipse of the heart, but dancing in the moonlight.
We met 4 siblings, originally from Trenton and their significant others who gathered here to renew their vows.
Another couple from Cincinnati's west side has been together but not married for 32 years, heard about the event and said lets do it.
And we met a couple building a home here in Trenton, who was celebrating second chances and said if this is going to be home, why get married here also.
The ceremony was followed by cutting of the cake and of course a champagne toast.
