Three teens arrested for armed carjacking in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police arrested three teenagers for an armed carjacking in D.C. that took place Thursday evening.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that the victim was parking in the 1500 block of Alabama Ave., Southeast around 8:30 p.m. then the three teenagers approached his car.

Police said that one of the suspects had a gun. They demanded that the victim get out of the car. Once he did, the three teenagers escaped in the victim’s car.

Responding officers later found the three suspects — two 14-year-old boys and one 13-year-old boy. All of them were from Southeast, D.C.

MPD arrested them and charged all of them for the armed carjacking.
