Boy, 2, dies after falling out of a downtown apartment window, police say

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO/Gray News) - Police in Nevada say a child has died after falling out of an apartment window.
According to the Sparks Police Department, a 2-year-old boy fell out of a downtown area apartment at about 1:40 p.m. Thursday.
Officers and medical personnel found the child and began life-saving measures.
He was taken to the hospital but died a short time later.
Investigators said the boy was playing near an open window of an upper-story apartment that afternoon before falling.
Police said their investigation remains ongoing, but no charges are currently pending.
The family has not been immediately identified.
