No, you don’t have déjà vu.
Yes, for the second consecutive season, the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets are meeting in the NBA Playoffs.
Starting on April 20, LeBron James’ eight-seeded Lakers will face off against Nikola Jokic’s reigning champion Nuggets in a sure-to-be, high-octane best-of-seven first-round series.
In order to get there, Los Angeles had to overcome the seventh-seeded New Orleans Pelicans in the play-in game; they sealed the deal thanks to a clutch three from D’angelo Russell in the corner that put them up 104-100 with 51 seconds on the clock.
While they may be riding a wave of momentum, the Nuggets have a bit of an advantage. Over the course of the regular season, Denver swept the Lakers 3-0.
Therefore, LeBron, AD and co. will need all the help they can get when they play games 3 and 4 — and maybe 6 — at Crypto.com Arena.
