Joel Embiid's Current Injury Status For Heat-76ers Game

Joel Embiid is on the injury report for Wednesday's game.

UPDATE: Joel Embiid is available.

On Wednesday evening, the Philadelphia 76ers will host Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat for the play-in tournament.

For the game, the 76ers could be without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid is on the injury report.

Embiid missed the team's final game of the regular season, so this would be his second straight out of the starting lineup (if he doesn't play).

Via Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints: "Joel Embiid getting some final shots up before heading off the court at the Sixers’ shootaround. He’s still listed as questionable and did participate in the shootaround, per team official"

Embiid did not play in a lot of games this season (39).

However, he had another excellent year with averages of 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per contest while shooting 52.9% from the field and 38.8% from the three-point range.

The 76ers finished the regular season as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 47-35 record.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of an eight-game winning streak.

Whoever wins Wednesday's game will be the seventh seed, while the loser will face off against either the Atlanta Hawks or Chicago Bulls for a chance at the eighth seed.

As for the Heat, they finished the regular season as the eighth seed and had a 46-36 record.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game winning strreak.
