Jason Kelce has reportedly been approached by the WWE to appear at WrestleMania 40 this weekend in Philadelphia.

The two-night event, which is WWE's biggest annual showcase, will take place at the Eagles' home stadium of Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Kelce's bombastic personality has led some to believe, including longtime wrestler The Miz, the former Philadelphia offensive lineman would be a great fit with WWE, although he has never formally appeared for the company.

WrestleMania has brought in outside stars to compete at the event in the past such as Shaquille O'Neal, Lawrence Taylor and Snoop Dogg. Kelce now has the chance to join that list, per Fightful Select.

Kelce retired from the NFL last month, but is one of the the most popular Eagles players of all-time.

Kelce appearing at a WWE show has been floated recently for SummerSlam, the company's second-biggest annual show, which this year takes place at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

When Logan Paul announced here SummerSlam will take place, he listed several Cleveland-native celebrities he wanted to see take part in the event, including Jason and Travis Kelce.

He did not mention if Taylor Swift, Travis' girlfriend, would get an invite.

WWE has ramped up its celebrity involvement for this year's edition of WrestleMania already, with The Rock wrestling on Saturday's show and expected to be part of Sunday's broadcast as well.

The Miz recently told TMZ about Jason Kelce: : 'He could be very dangerous in a WWE ring - not only with just the athleticism and the part of the wrestling, which I think he can absolutely do.'

'I watched him jump up at a Bills game from, like, down and jump up into a window, and I was like, "Oh my God, this guy is 300 pounds, how did he do that? That’s incredible,"' The Miz added.

Jason Kelce has yet to comment on the invitation from WWE.

'I don't know, the way I look at it is more of a fan of the Kelces,' The Miz said. 'I've played golf with Travis, what an incredible human being.

'Even when we were golfing I was like "when are you coming to WWE? When are you coming to WrestleMania?".

'With Jason, I've never met him, that guy has played for Philadelphia - it seems like a home run to me.'

'Who knows? He has retired, he might just want to relax and chill out. Or - he'd like to come to Philadelphia.'

The Miz was asked if would train Kelce into a wrestler.

'Hell yeah! Into a superstar! As big as he is in the NFL, we'll make him as big of a superstar in the WWE!'

'The charisma, the ability to talk on a microphone and be captivating and innovative is something I think he has a knack for. Whatever Jason Kelce wants to do, whether it is come to WWE for WrestleMania, wink, or do something in the NFL, whatever he wants to do, I think the world is his oyster.'

Not long after Kelce announced his retirement, Kelce participated in a stunt where he jumped through a flaming table.

Wrestlers have been known to go through tables as a way of insinuating violence and using it as a weapon.

A flaming table is extremely rare, but one has been seen at a WrestleMania before.

In 2006, Edge defeated Mick Foley after putting him through a table engulfed in fire.
