The goal Conor Bradley scored on his breakthrough appearance against Chelsea is seared on his psyche, his Liverpool shirt from that night will go up on a wall sometime soon and the man-of-the- match award has been carefully put to one side.

Yet the 20-year-old defender took more than memories and souvenirs away from a 4-1 Premier League success at the end of January. More importantly, he left Anfield with a sense of belonging.

Afterwards, at his home and surrounded by friends, the realisation dawned on Bradley that the dream he harboured growing up in Northern Ireland could now become a reality.
