CLEVELAND, Ohio — Wadsworth’s Jaxon Joy is in rare air in OHSAA wrestling history. He finished his high school career with a third OHSAA state title in his fourth appearance in the Division I final. He tied the Division I career wins record (189), is in the coveted 900 takedowns club and is on a short list of Wadsworth’s greatest wrestlers of all time.

Joy was an easy choice for the 2024 cleveland.com Boys Wrestler of the Year. He’s made the All-Star team in each of the past two seasons and had a reasonable argument to be 2023′s wrestler of the year as well.
