CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The family of a 26-year-old Clarksville man who died Monday evening in a double shooting is putting out an urgent plea to the community for information.

Shaqueta Nicholson, the mother of 26-year-old Glenn Nicholson Jr., was brought to tears as she recalled the loss of her son and his soon-to-be wife, Savannah Lumpkin.

“He stayed to himself; he wasn’t out here; he wasn’t well known; he was just G Baby,” Shaqueta explained.

At around 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 8, Clarksville police officers were called to Martin Street where they found Glenn Nicholson Jr. and Lumpkin suffering from gunshot wounds. His parents spoke with News 2 at McGregor Park as the crime scene was still too real for them to return to.

“He would do anything for anyone; his girlfriend was the same way, and if you asked and they had it, they’d be more than willing to give it, and to have justice for the loss of my son and my daughter-in-law…if anyone knows anything, please come forward,” father Glenn Nicholson Sr. said.

Glenn Nicholson Jr. leaves behind his 3-year-old daughter, Aurora La-Shay. His parents recalled their son letting Aurora tie up his hair and wear his jewelry.

“Yes, we’re angry because he’s gone. We don’t wish no harm to nobody. We just want justice to be served,” Shaqueta said.

Glenn Nicholson Jr.’s family said he and Lumpkin still had a lot of life to live, and they can’t imagine who could have harmed their son. They ask anyone in the community who hears or sees anything, no matter how small, to report it.

“If we need yall’s help at anytime, we need y’all’s help now,” Glenn Nicholson Sr. said. “We need justice to be served; we need this for Savannah and G Baby.”

“Our hearts are broken. Our minds are disturbed, and we know we got to keep going because he has a little brother; he has a little sister; he’s has a daughter, and we’ve got to be strong for them,” Shaqueta added.
