LEWIS RUN — An electrical failure has been ruled the cause of a blaze at 7:03 p.m. March 31 on Keating Avenue in Port Allegany Borough.

Lewis Run-based state police said the fire damaged a residence on Keating Avenue on March 31, and an investigation Monday showed the fire was electrical, and the amount of damage was reported at $70,000.

The owners are listed as a 35-year-old male and a 33-year-old female.

In addition to Star Hose Company 1, fire crews from Roulette, Coudersport and Ladder 14 from Emporium assisted on scene while an engine from Smethport stood by at Port Allegany station.
