THEY may be over 50 but an increasing number of stars are happy to show age is no barrier when it comes to stripping off.
This week Amanda Holden showed off her stunning figure when she whipped off her clothes for a nude drawing session during her Heart Radio show.
At 53, the Britain’s Got Talent judge looks better than ever and her confidence is clearly increasing with age.
But she’s not the only celebrity who has shed their inhibitions - as well as their clobber - as they get older.
Here we take a look at the stars who are proud to show that age really is just a number.
Amanda Holden
Amanda is no stranger to controversy over her choice of revealing outfits but stunned critics by going completely naked for a 53rd birthday photo shoot in February.
She was seen in the buff again at the Heart FM studio where artists drew her naked form.
But the presenter wasn’t always so bold.
Her first TV appearance aged 19 on Cilla Black’s Blind Date saw Amanda wearing typical teenage garb - jeans with a halter neck top.
Her 20s were also covered up, pairing tiny tops with blazers and trousers and her fashion sense seemed stuck in a rut after marrying comedian Les Dennis when she was 22 and he was nearly 40.

In her 30s, after an affair with Men Behaving Badly star, Neil Morrisey led to a marriage split, she began to flaunt her figure in tight fitting dresses which showed off more leg and cleavage.
Amanda really embraced the sexy look when she landed a job as a judge on Britain's Got Talent and experimented with short dresses and plunging ball gowns.
In 2017 she donned her most risque frock of all time - a plunging, sheer black Julien Macdonald gown that received 633 Ofcom complaints.
Amanda has revealed pals called her Mandy Button, in reference to the film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which sees a man reverse in age.
She said: "I do look after myself, I run, I do yoga, I’m a vegetarian. But I do love a drink. I don’t deny myself anything. After lockdown and us all being denied our freedoms, I just think ‘don’t deny yourself now, just enjoy.”
Myleene Klass
Singer Myleene has always had a touch of Klass when it comes to style.
When she burst onto the music scene on Popstars in 2001, joining the band Hear’Say, she favoured jeans and tight T-shirts.
But in 2006, the singer, said to be worth around £13million, stripped down to a white bikini in the I’m A Celebrity jungle. It was one of the show’s most memorable moments and catapulted Myleene into stardom.
Keen not to be pigeon-holed, Myleene quickly went back to being spotted in trademark long dresses throughout her 30's and said “I dress to please myself.”
The mum-of-two now has her own range of clothes at Next which include flattering trouser suits and flowing frocks.
But she still dares to bare and last year reverted back to a white bikini as she modelled her collection.
She once said: “I’m 5ft 5in and I’m not a model but…I’ve learned to make the best of what I’ve got - short legs and bandy arms and long back and terrible posture.
“But I don’t wish to be anything else. It’s probably my points of difference that have made me a success.”
She also blasted trolls who slammed her for stripping off saying: "People try to tell me all day long, ‘I don’t like your hair’, ‘Why have you got your a*** out?’.
“I’m like, ‘Sorry, your opinions do not pay my mortgage, therefore they are null and void’."
Liz Hurley
From the moment she stepped out in her iconic Versace safety pin dress at the premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994, Liz has proved her mettle as a fashionista.
At 30, she secured a deal with Estee Lauder and was famous for showing off her curves in sleek, tight dresses. Away from the limelight, her go-to outfit was a pair of jeans and shirt.
She became a mum to son Damian when she was 36 but was soon back to her best in show-stopping, ankle-skimming, red carpet dresses.
Liz took the plunge for her 55th birthday by going naked in the bath on Instagram.
She also stripped off for her son Damian’s directorial debut in the film Strictly Confidential. It features the actress getting very steamy with another woman.
Liz said she felt safe in the scenes because Damian was on set.
She’s a natural beauty but Liz admits to having a little bit of help.
She said in 2018: “Plastic surgery? I’d be too scared. Fillers? Forget about it! I have had Botox in my forehead.”
Gwyneth Paltrow
When Gwyneth posed nude covered in gold paint for her 50th birthday the image couldn’t have been further from her demure start.
The Avengers actress was just 24 when she first starred in Sliding Doors in 1998, playing a put-upon girlfriend.
Her fashion choices seemed buttoned up until she accepted an Academy Award for Shakespeare in Love in 1999, wearing a stunning pink Ralph Lauren number.
Gwyneth said she only started to “really feel beautiful” in her 30s and it became obvious with her choice of clobber as she began to wear short dresses and honed her preppy style by the time she’d turned 40.
But she really started to show off her body when she launched her lifestyle brand Goop and turned up at the 2020 Golden Globes in a sheer Fendi gown.
Her Goldfinger look for her 50th cemented her new-found confidence and last October Gwyneth stunned in a sheer red outfit with matching heels.
Before her big birthday, she said: “I actually feel great turning 50. I feel really lucky that I have my health (touch wood) and strength in my body. I feel like many of the decisions I made in my late 20s, my 30s, and my 40s are paying dividends now.
“I don’t think there are rules around when you stop wearing certain kinds of clothes at a particular age. I wore the shortest skirt I’d worn in 10 years just the other day: It was this old Chanel dress I found in the basement, and it worked. People should wear what they feel good in.”
Davina McCall
At 56, there’s no wonder Davina wants to show off her honed body after putting years of work into looking great.
When she first hit our screens on MTV back in 1992 her most daring look was a short skirt and T-shirt.
By the time Davina got her big break hosting Big Brother she was known for her casual style.
But over the years she has become increasingly self-assured and now dazzles in more daring outfits, even modelling swimwear for JD Williams last year.
The mother-of-three's confidence came after she beat a heroin addiction which almost wrecked her life in her 20s.
She now uses her role as a judge on the Masked Singer to showcase her impressive collection of revealing dresses - and blasted critics who said she looked like an ‘old over sun-kissed woman’ in a silver dress in 2021.
She replied: “Really sorry. Absolutely no chance of demure over here …growing old disgracefully is far more fun.”
Salma Hayek
The 57-year-old Mexican actress keeps it real with pictures of her curvy body in swimsuits.
But Salma wasn’t always the Goddess she is today.
She said she always “felt borderline chubby” when she was younger because of her “wavy body.”
In her 20s and 30s Salma was seen in figure-hugging dresses that showed off her best asset - her cleavage - but mostly covered up her legs.
By her 40s Salma had figured out what suited her off set, choosing flattering co-ordinates and lifting her hemline.
The mum-of-one, who has three step children, now wears whatever she feels like including sheer blouses, leather jackets and silky skirts.
Salma said coming up to her 50's felt “great”.

She said: “I was always borderline chubby, because I like my food, and, frankly, I like my wine. I have to say, I’m pushing 50 but feel great.
“I’m quite short. I have an overly…wavy body. I’m not like the girl next door who is easy to cast. I don’t fit into the stereotypes of a woman that should continue to work.”
