Try to win free burritos for a whole year with Chipotle Mexican Grill’s new game

Chipotle Mexican Grill is launching a new interactive game that’ll give away 100,000 Buy-One-Get-One free entrée codes redeemable only on April 4, National Burrito Day, the company said in a news release.

Chipotle lovers can get the Burrito Vault on unlockburritoday.com starting at 12 pm PT or 3 pm EST, according to the news release.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is challenging people to guess two exact order combinations by each ingredient to unlock the “Burrito Vault.”

Prizes will go to the first 50,000 people on April 2 and 3, who successfully crack the Burrito Vault code, the news release stated. The game opens daily at 12 pm PT or 3 pm EST.

There are over 1.34 billion possible burrito combinations at Chipotle, the news release stated. Burrito Vault highlights Chipotle’s customizable menu, made with over 53 real fresh ingredients.

“We are launching Burrito Vault ahead of one of our most popular Chipotdays, National Burrito Day, giving players multiple opportunities to play and win,” Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, said in the news release. “Burrito Vault is inspired by the popularity of word puzzles, which have swept the nation and become a daily ritual for so many of our fans and team members.”

How to play the game

  • After downloading the game, players have to try to unlock the “Burrito Vault” by guessing the correct Chipotle order, the news release stated. Every player has four attempts per day.
  • The first 50,000 people to unlock the “Burrito Vault” by guessing the correct Chipotle order each day will win a BOGO code, according to the news release. The winners of the BOGO code have to enter in a valid U.S. phone number and the code will be texted to them.
  • All players who correctly guess the Chipotle order and unlock the Burrito Vault will be automatically entered into Chipotle’s National Burrito Day sweepstakes, the news release stated. During the sweepstakes, 53 people – at least 13 years or older – will be randomly selected to win free burritos for a year.

Other restaurants like Taco John‘s are also doing promotions on National Burrito Day, according to Fika Collective, the public relations agency that represents the restaurant.

Members of Taco John’s Bigger Bolder Rewards loyalty program can get two dollars off any meat and potato burrito combo on April 4, according to an email from Fika Collective.
