MOUNT CALM, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) - A mother and her young daughter were found dead in a car crash after their family had reported them missing hours earlier.

Lauren Bonvillian, 33, and her daughter Savannah Bagley, 4, were reported missing Sunday night. Late Monday night, authorities confirmed the two were killed in a wreck in Hill County, Texas.

On Tuesday, the Texas Dept. of Public Safety confirmed the mother and daughter were pronounced dead at the scene where the Toyota Corolla they were traveling in crashed on SH-31 near County Line Road.

Authorities said an investigation revealed the Toyota Corolla was traveling westbound, left the roadway and overturned. The vehicle was found wrecked in a pond, according to authorities.

“Our two beautiful girls have gone to heaven,” Bonvillian’s mother Kimberly Graham wrote in a social media post on Monday, “Thank you to everyone for all your prayers.”

Robinson Police originally alerted the public about the missing mother and daughter.

“We are saddened to announce a tragic ending to this case. Lauren and Savannah were located deceased late this afternoon in Hill County as the result of a one-vehicle crash. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and everyone affected by this tragedy,” police wrote in a social media post.

Bonvillian and Savannah were last seen leaving Corsicana, Texas, on their way to Robinson, Texas, in their blue 2020 Toyota Corolla around 10 p.m. Sunday.

When the two never made it home, their family searched for them and eventually filed missing person reports.

Robinson Police Department Lieutenant Tracy O’Connor said his department was alerted by the Texas Dept. of Public Safety at about 4 a.m. Monday and authorities spent most of the day searching for tBonvillian and Savannah along Texas Highway 31 between Waco and Corsicana.

The family has started a GoFundMe to help with the cost of funeral services.
