THE MAN SHOT BY FORSYTH COUNTY DEPUTIES TWO DAYS AGO IS NOW OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND FACING CHARGES. 56 YEAR-OLD MICHAEL GREER OF WALKERTOWN IS CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF FELONY ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WITH A FIREARM. THAT SHOOTING HAPPENED AT THE KEYSTONE AT WALKERTOWN LANDING APARTMENTS, FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SAYS DEPUTIES WERE RESPONDING TO A CALL ABOUT A SUSPICIOUS PERSON. A LITTLE AFTER SIX IN THE EVENING. DEPUTIES SAY GREER HAD A GUN IN HIS POCKET. THEY ISSUED COMMANDS TO HIM, BUT HE DID NOT COMPLY. THAT IS WHEN THEY SHOT HIM. THE TWO DEPUTIES ARE ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE, AS IS STANDARD PROCEDURE.
