A 34-year-old Midland County woman was killed Wednesday morning when an Isabella County man pulled in front of her while attempting a left turn in Midland County, the Midland County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m on Wednesday, April 10, at the intersection of West Saginaw Road and Frank Street in Geneva Township, southeast of Coleman.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that the collision occurred when a 61-year-old Isabella County male driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on West Saginaw Road and attempted to turn northbound onto Frank Street,” officials said.

“In doing so, he turned into the path of a westbound 2003 Buick Century being driven by a 34-year-old Warren Township female.”

The 34-year-old woman was transported to MyMichiganMedical Center, where she was later pronounced deceased due to injuries sustained in the crash.

The 61-year-old man did not sustain any injuries that caused him to be transported by EMS for medical treatment.

There’s no evidence to indicate that alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in this crash, they said.

A final report will be sent to the Midland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Midland County Sheriff’s Office personnel were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police Accident Investigation Team, Coleman Fire Department, Coleman Police Department and MyMichigan EMS.
