N.J. man, 20, killed in crash on I-295, authorities say

A 20-year-old driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night on Interstate 295 in Mercer County, authorities said.

The man was driving an SUV north near milepost 60.6 in Hamilton shortly before 8 p.m. when he veered off the highway to the left and struck both a concrete bridge support and guardrail, State Police said Monday.

The driver, who lived in the Kenvil section of Roxbury, died at the scene. His identity will be released pending family notification.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
