On the occasion of the 2024 Women’s Day, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Foundation partners with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to spread women’s equality throughout the world, and help change the lives of millions of women all around the world. 

Both partners, in collaboration with Hologic, launched the WTA Foundation Global Women’s Health Fund, with an initial goal to reach and help out one million women. With every world crisis, women are forced to make sacrifices, where they choose their families over themselves, leaving them undernourished than the rest. 

The organizations are working together for these women and their health because every woman and girl deserves a better opportunity to perform better in the world. The WTA has always fought for the women in the sport to receive equal rights as the men. They have come very far in the sport, and are looking to expand their reach with the help of the Gates Foundation. 

Melinda French Gates stated via WTA Foundation:

It is unacceptable that so many women and girls don’t have access to adequate nutrition and basic care. The WTA Foundation was founded on the idea of equal opportunity, and that’s exactly what Women Change the Game is about. Nowhere is it more important to level the playing field than women’s health. Together, the two organizations look to reach out and help many women in the world, achieve their basic right to nutrition and health. 

WTA partners with the Gates Foundation to shine a spotlight on the importance of Women’s health and nutrition

Over the years, the world has developed to deliver equal rights to women all around the world, yet many lack equality in terms of nutrition and health. 

On the occasion of the 2024 Women’s Day, the WTA and the Gates Foundation work together to create a campaign “WomenChangeTheGame” with views to spread awareness and equality of women’s rights on their health and nutrition. Leveraging their power in the world, the organizations look to bring greater visibility to women’s health and nutrition issues. 

While spreading knowledge to the women, the organizations look to include more public and private sectors to commit to this cause. Another huge stride for women all around the world is to fight for their rights in the world. WTA also uses the help of tennis superstars to spread their reach. While hosting small campaigns, they try to get more audience to contribute to a rising public concern.
